I'm a multi-media photojournalist living in Knoxville, Tennessee for the past 40+ years. Long ago I was born in Winston-Salem, N.C., and grew up through marriage and early work about an hour west of there in Statesville. However, from age 3 to 13 I lived in Athens, GA., and let me tell you - with a Georgia Tech alum father - that was not an easy childhood.
I’ve aIways believed photojournalism is one of the very best jobs in the world. The variety is mainly what keeps it so interesting. Everyday I'm meeting wonderful people and learning new things.
Outside of work my wife, three children and six grandchildren definitely come first. After them volunteering at my church, and then trying to keep my bonsai trees alive. When there is time I do a little target shooting with my two sons and on rarer occasions I get to play golf with friends.
